Transparency, accountability, fiscal responsibility, a true interest in the public good, leaders that actually lead, a financial system less like a faceless robot: is that too much… to ask?
Sounds much like Main Men that are Good Guys You Can Trust acting on our behalf in an area renowned for its dishonesty. One interesting statistic, not mentioned here, is that at the height of the sub-prime selling in the US, there were 250,000 salespersons out selling mortgages to people who were never in a position to repay them. How many of those 250,000 queried their actions, and how many acted otherwise?
